8-5 post-Rio
It is Saturday and at least one Rio Olympian is enjoying the weekend after Monday to Friday in the office. Mari Rabie was first off the bike on the Copacabana back in August finishing in a great 11th place in the women's triathlon. But that is only part of the bigger picture that is her life.
Now back home in Stellenbosch after an extended period of planes, trains and racing (and training) Mari is working 8-5 and still swim-bike-running, albeit in the early mornings and evenings. Our scheduled interview was fit into her lunch hour, which sounds pretty much like the rest of us part-time athletes.
Look for the resultant article featuring SA's own renaissance athlete in the upcoming SBR/Ironman magazine soon.
